Chemistry & Biomolecular Science:Deep Drilling of the Human Plasma Proteome

Scholarship Description

A full-time PhD scholarship is available in Chemistry & Biomolecular Sciences, at the Australian Proteome Analysis Facility (APAF) Macquarie University. The project is part of a recently funded China-NSW collaborative proteomics team which has a long term focus on discovery of hepatocellular and colorectal cancer protein biomarkers. It will investigate the discovery, quantitation and validation of low abundance plasma proteins that are candidate cancer biomarkers using MRM and SISCAPA technologies on heavily depleted human plasma derived from a new protein immunodepletion technology (CAPI) patented by Macquarie University. Laboratory experience highly advantageous. Applicants should quote 2010219 on their application form. More information is available at http://www.hdr.mq.edu.au/information_about/scholarships
